Goblin & Deceased

"i know it's too late"

An ancient, golden bade pierces through his chest and heart, leaving his body through the space between his left shoulder and his spine. The hilt is wrapped in a greyed bandage, the tips stained brown with blood centuries old. The skin around both hilt and blade are a deeper red, cracked and scarred from healing around the width of the sword. Inside of his chest, the heart no longer beats and yet the Goblin is still breathing. The backside of his knees, too, are scarred from the slicing of his tendons that forced him to his knees before death.

His lean but muscular body, built like a warmblood, is that of an ancient general and has not aged a day since his death over nine centuries ago. Not yet, anyway. Set in his regal skull are two pure black eyes. His coat is a brilliant red, fading to black over the skin of his nose. His mane and tail are excessively long, forming thin dreadlocks that fade to a red-brown towards the tips. Hidden amongst the threads of his mane is a single golden chain that carries on it the green emerald ring his sister wore with pride. Draped over his body is a lace black cloak with gold trimming and an extravagant clasp.

"the lonely and ever so radiant goblin"

The Goblin is a detached creature, continuously struggling to come to terms with what living for an eternity really means. Too eager to seek revenge for his death at first, he cast aside those dear to him. However his target beat him to the grave - as did his most loyal servant. The very man who had with pleaded the Gods to save the Goblin.

The following centuries shaped the long-lost general into a hollow shell, a husk of the man he should have been. His kind heart was lost, loyalty forgotten and eventually, even his sanity slipped away. He became a zombie, barely a thought pressing through his skull.

Until now. His recovery has been sparked, the heavy fog in his skull lifted to reveal a gentleman. The being he once was; gentle yet harsh, overprotective, quick to give his heart away, his lack of speech filtering - it is all coming back to him.

Yet there are still some lingering Zombie traits. He will blank out on occasion, jaws snapping and voice reduced to a guttural growl. He will panic at the sight of equine blood, and seek out things that glitter and shine. They have become his base instinct, and he will act upon it without a single thought.
